Trike-A-Thon is a fun, week-long safety curriculum and fundraising program for preschools/daycares, benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Children are introduced to riding-toy safety lessons through a series of interactive stories featuring Bikewell Bear® and Pedals the Bunny. The stories also share how children can help others by raising funds in the St. Jude Trike-A-Thon. At the end of the Trike-A-Thon week, students bring their trikes or riding-toys to school and practice the safety lessons they have learned.
Each preschool/daycare that participates in Trike-A-Thon will become a member of NOGGIN's Gold Star Club -- NOGGIN's way to thank you for hosting a St. Jude Trike-A-Thon and promoting riding toy safety. All qualifying preschools/daycares will be named on NOGGIN TV and NOGGIN.com during summer 2008, and will also receive a NOGGIN Gold Star Club certificate at their Trike-A-Thon.
A new partner to this year's Trike-A-Thon is the kids' band Hot Peas `N Butter. They have composed a special song and created a video about riding safety entitled "Different Spokes for Different Folks," which will be on the Trike-A-Thon DVD. You can also watch it right here!
