Help your little artist curate their artwork for a special museum exhibit.
Gather your child’s recent artwork from school or home.
Choose a wall area or available space in your home to create your child’s own gallery (for example, it can be your child’s bedroom wall or the refrigerator!).
Talk to your child about what a curator is. Parent tip: Watch Noggin’s Word Play: Curator that features and defines the word.
Ask your child to look at their artwork and decide:
Which pieces to include. Is there a theme they want to showcase?
Where on the wall should they hang their works?
What would they like to name their exhibit?
How are the art pieces in their exhibit the same? What do the pieces have in common?
Print out and help kids color and decorate our Noggin museum frames for their paintings and drawings. Hang them up!
Invite friends and family to visit their exhibit.
Take a photo of your artist and their exhibit. Encourage them to plan and curate future ones.
