By Kevin Miklasz, Michael Levine, Makeda Mays-Green, Courtney Wong Chin, Kiersten Zimmerman
In this paper, the Noggin Learning & Research team lays out a framework for how to make sure content has measurable learning value, no matter its stage of development. It starts with Directional Evidence and moves to Correlational Evidence, then finally Causal Evidence. We describe what each level means and what kind of research falls into each category, with several examples from educational games and videos developed at Noggin.
