Exploring Noggin’s Parent Dashboard

A place just for parents – all about your kids

By Bo Young Lee & Emily Martin

What is the Parent Dashboard?

The Parent Dashboard is your go-to parent center where you can get the scoop on your kids’ activity at Noggin. As they learn and play in Noggin, you can follow along with all their progress in each of their personalized profiles – including the essential skills they’re building, the learning areas they’re spending time in, and the content they love most!

What is found in the child profile section?

Each profile details what your child is learning – including the specific skills they’re building as well as which of the 5 learning areas they spend most time in (Early Math, Early Reading, Social & Emotional, Arts & Sciences, and Healthy Habits). We also show how they are learning, whether they’re watching videos, playing games, or reading books. You’ll find an overview of the average time they are spending each day of the week. And we highlight the content they’re watching – as well as their top favorite activity!

What is found in the Just Added section?

It’s where you can discover what’s new at Noggin! From the latest launches of highly anticipated original series to new drops of familiar favorites, each month’s highlights are featured here. We’ll also spotlight exciting app updates, expert top tips for parents, and fun off-screen games, crafts, and activities for the whole family.

How can I best utilize the Parent Dashboard to optimize my child’s learning?

The Parent Dashboard is an easy way for you to support and extend your child’s learning at home! Each profile hones in on your child’s individual interests. Are they loving School of YUM? Download the show’s official cookbook (available in the Learning Activities section), and make and bake recipes together. Is Dance Squad with Ailey their favorite Noggin pick? Have a dance party in the living room. It’s a great way to join in on the fun.

You can also see what specific skills your child is building and help support their learning at home. As they’re learning early reading in the app, you can practice letter sounds and recognition of lowercase and uppercase with them at home. Exploring early math? We have resources (also in the Family Resources section!) that help you and your child explore the world of math in everyday instances. Are they building friendship or empathy skills? We have booklists (in the Family Resources section) with relatable stories to help nurture this social & emotional growth.

Noggin subscribers can manage or create a profile for their child(ren) by visiting the Grownups section of the Noggin mobile app and selecting “Add Profile” in the Profile section under Account or under Account Settings in the Parent Dashboard. New users will automatically be prompted to create a profile during sign up. Noggin profiles will provide content recommendations and store your child’s watch, play, or read progress so you can return to specific content later.

About Ailey

Since its first historic performance in 1958, Ailey has been innovating and evolving the perception of American modern dance throughout the world. Noggin is honored to partner with them in helping kids all over get up moving, learning, and expressing their feelings through dance. Because movement has meaning when we dance how we’re feeling!
